Role of Academia in Water Action

This mission aims to engage the students in making academic campuses net-zero, while developing programs, events, and incentives to build ecological ethos amonst the youth. Youth need to be aware and active in the climate crisis actions because they will inherit the planet and its long-term consequences, and they can further in the society and industry.

Responsible Leadership & Governance

Role of Local Self-Governance in Water Action

Civic bodies has great potential to engage local community in direct ground action to combat climate-crisis and to accelarate SDGs. E.g., 29 governance subjects assigned to Panchayats (the local self Governance system of India) are closely linked wiith SDGs. By incentivising responsible leadership, this misssion aims to strenthen the ground action by such civic bodies.

The BarterWATER initiative is based on an innovative incentive system that rewards nature-positive efforts in community action with Rainbow Credits. These credits can be redeemed for clean drinking water from or exchanged for essential nature-based goods and services, fostering a culture of responsible water use and accountable climate-action at the grassroots level.

Incubating and accelerating indigenous, sustainable technologies is pivotal to combating the climate crisis and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By bridging traditional knowledge with deep-tech, these programs cultivate green jobs and build vital adaptive capacity for vulnerable and remote communities.

PYAAS Mission

Pure, safe and healthy water for all

Globally, 2.1 billion people lack safely managed drinking water, and at least 1.7 billion use sources contaminated with feces. Using sustaiable technologies for water purification and monitoring & control of drinking water quality, PYAAS misssion aims to build & replicate community managed sustainable system to ensure Pure, safe and healthy drinking water.

BAANS Mission

Nature positive community

Biomass Allied Agro-forestry for Nature-based Solutions (BAANS) mission aims to promote ecofriendly solutions for sustainable development. Training and capacity building of local community in cultivation, treatment, and processing of locally available agricultural, forest and domestic waste into value (e.g., utiility item, organic fertilizer, biogas etc.).
